BIOSOURCED POLYMERS TO REPLACE NON BIODEGRADABLE POLYBUTENS
VISCOPLAST™ is a large range of viscous biopolymers which can be used as alternative to petrochemicals Polybutens. VISCOPLAST™ polyesters are obtained by esterification of vegetable dimer acids and bio-based polyols.
The physical and cosmetic properties of VISCOPLAST™ polyesters are :
- high viscosities comprised between 3000 and 400 000 cSt at 40°C,
- glossy effects without stickness,
- plasticizing action of thermosetting polymers,
- thickenner agents,
- waterproofing and water-resistance (film formers).
VISCOPLAST™ polyesters are chemically stable (resistance to hydrolysis and air oxidation) with a perfect safety profile.
